Apple Picking Time

We stopped at the local apple orchard today which was quite the experience. Brenna picked anything she could reach and Lindsay wanted to eat anything within her reach, whether it was still attached to the tree or had been on the ground for awhile. They had fun though and we did end up with a bag full. I forgot to get pics of them actually enjoying their apples once we got home though!

They took a quick break from picking so I could get a picture.

Lindsay lucked out when there were really low branches that she could reach too!

They had donkeys and goats that the kids could look at too. I think Lindsay would've climbed in with the goat if I'd have let her! She loves animals!

Nursery School Orientation and First Day

Brenna gets to start 3 year old preschool in St. Ansgar this year, which they call nursery school. Coincidentally they've been learning about nursery rhymes at daycare which has her slightly confused. If she tells you she's going to nursery rhyme, you'll know what she means!

This is Brenna getting ready for Orientation Night. I used a curling iron on her bangs and she told me she wanted "hot" in the back too. It didn't really matter because I soon found her spritzing and combing away herself.

Brenna and Brian making the short trip to the preschool for Orientation. It's two blocks away from our house.

The first day finally arrived on Friday. She was more than ready. Their theme for the first day was Curious George, which was a big hit with Brenna of course.

An attitude shot as we arrive home from the first day.

Lindsay's 1st Birthday

Our little girl is one! We had her party Saturday night and she seemed to enjoy it, although she was a very tired little girl by the end of the evening.

Looks yummy!

Tastes yummy!

Feels messy! Perfect!

Other Summer Fun

Since I've been meaing to get this started all summer, I added a few pictures from the past few weeks.

Brenna and her cousin Adri enjoying the rides at the Mitchell County Fair. They're actually plotting which one they'll go on next.

Lindsay only got to ride in the stroller, but she enjoyed the animals.

The girls are really enjoying the sand box Brian built for them.

They like the pool too!

Brenna, Linsday, & their cousin Chase watching the St. Ansgar parade.

Linsday's all set!

Brenna isn't afraid to get wet!

And neither is Lindsay. Every time she takes a bath, she insists on getting a face full of bubbles.

Brenna is quite the little biker babe.

Linsday needed her own set of wheels too.
